Wood Stuart Club Shop has been serving the Northern Ireland public since 1941.
What we do
Wood Stuart Club Shop provides a wide range of items for clubs, schools and associations. Our specialities are wooden wall plaques and hand-embroidered badges but we also supply all types of badges – pin, brooch, enamel and more.
Wood Stuart has been trading for over 80 years and we have extensive records of designs for many local clubs. New designs can be created from current artwork and we can even design a logo for you if that is required. The club shop operates in Belfast, Northern Ireland but we post items all over the world.
Unfortunately, we no longer stock, service or mount medals.
History
The business was started by my grandfather, John Wood Stuart, and traded for many years in Howard Street, Belfast. The shop was sandwiched between the Northern Bank and the old Washington Bar and focussed mainly on mens tailoring and school uniforms. I have fond memories of helping out in the shop during my summer holidays.
My late father, Brian Stuart, ran the business for over 40 years and expanded it into the club business of plaques, badges, ties and medals. Developing this market meant that Wood Stuart became a specialist in the area and went on to sell goods across the world. My dad retired at the end of 2013 and sadly passed away in 2017. I have taken over the running of the club shop – there is still a healthy demand for these items but not the same need to have a physical shop so I am now running the business from home. Plaques
Wooden wall plaques are very popular with clubs and schools.
The design possibilities are endless. Orders under 25 items are all hand-painted with incredible skill. Larger orders can be screen printed to take advantage of economies of scale.
We have produced plaques for literally thousands of organisations over the years and have a vast catalogue of old designs. If you have never had a plaque produced, fear not. We can provide a mock-up of the look and you can even have just one plaque produced to test it out.
Prices vary depending on design and size but typically start at around £95 for one plaque and drop to less than £40 for larger quantities.
Badges
Wood Stuart is the leading supplier of hand-embroidered wire badges in the country.
With a catalogue of designs going back over 40 years, we probably already have your design on file. If not, any reasonable quality photograph or logo can be used to produce a new badge.
We produce hundreds of different badges for sports clubs and schools. Each is hand made with amazing skill and precision but at a cost significantly lower than our competitors.
Prices for these bespoke badges range from £30 to £50 depending on complexity. Larger orders can benefit from significant savings.

Orders
Orders can be placed via email and I will either arrange for personal delivery, collection or postage depending on requirements.
